Athens-Clarke County is seeking a dedicated Sign & Marking Worker I to install, maintain, and repair traffic signs and pavement markings across the county. You will fabricate signs, paint intersections, and assist with traffic counters and related tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. schedule with on-call duties. ACCGov emphasizes safety and teamwork in a busy public works environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; education/experience may be substituted.
• Experience with sign and roadway marking and maintenance preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, and repair traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Fabricate and erect signs, paint intersections and curbs, install traffic counters.
• Drive and operate equipment used in sign & marking work.
• Assist with loading materials and operating related tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
