Pima County Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Maintenance Specialist I for the Signing team. This hands‑on, field‑based role installs and maintains signs, documenting work in sign inventory systems, to improve mobility across Pima County.

Work is four 10-hour shifts, with occasional on-call overtime. Minimum qualifications include apprenticeship completion with journey‑level experience and prior Pima County experience as a Trades Maintenance Technician.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an industry‑recognized apprenticeship program in the trade and one year of journey‑level experience.
• Five years of journey‑level experience in the trade.
• Two years of experience with Pima County as a Trades Maintenance Technician.
• Experience installing and maintaining traffic signing is preferred.
• Experience using asset management software (e.g. Maximo) and field inventory databases is preferred.
• Experience using sign installation tools, hardware, and techniques is preferred.

• Installs and maintains ground-mounted traffic signs.
• Documents work using computerized management and sign inventory systems.
• Collaborates with the Signing team to support mobility across the county.
• Performs on-call overtime as required.
