Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is hiring Protectors to manage traffic control at job sites. Youll set up cones, signs and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules learned in training.

Expect outdoor work in all weather and shifts that may include nights or weekends. Training and safety certification are provided, with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities include teamwork with crew and supervisor, keeping equipment safe, and staying alert to ensure public safety.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive role).
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules at all times.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Communicating with crew and supervisor throughout shifts.
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
• You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
