Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Traffic Engineering leader to deliver safety analyses and corridor studies for Carolinas clients from multiple locations including Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC. You will oversee NCDOT Safety assignments, mentor staff, and ensure projects meet safety and performance goals across budgets and timelines.

The role requires a PE license or equivalent experience, a strong technical background in traffic engineering, and the ability to coordinate with clients and internal teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• PE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist in technical proposals.
• Serve as primary client liaison and manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, and production.
• Lead project management plan development and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Recruitment and staff development planning, performance reviews, and staff reporting.
• Lead pursuit efforts and prepare proposal materials for strategic projects.
