Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior Traffic Engineering professional in the Carolinas to lead NCDOT safety analyses and related studies. You will guide project scopes, budgets, and client communications while mentoring teammates and advancing safety-focused infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with clients, drive proposals, and support business development efforts for strategic initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams on infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation, assist in proposals and contracts.
• Serve as primary client liaison, manage project team and deliver scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production for projects.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan; supervise and mentor staff.
