Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring Protectors to work at job sites across the United States. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure safety at all times.

No experience or degree is required. Training is provided, and you’ll work outdoors year-round, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergency events. Paid training and a traffic safety certificate are included.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or emergency shifts.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules at all times.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all training safety rules and communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
