Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring a Protector to join our field teams across job sites in the United States. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, and guide traffic using a stop/slow paddle while ensuring safety and compliance with site rules.

No prior experience or degree is required—we train you and support your career path. Expect to work outdoors year-round, with flexible shifts including some nights and weekends, and opportunities for advancement into roles like Senior Protector or Lead

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening (safety sensitive).
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor jobsite activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather.
• Possible night, weekend, or emergency shifts.
