Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is hiring Protectors to manage traffic control at job sites. No experience or degree is required, with comprehensive training provided. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules while working outdoors in all weather.

Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies. A hard hat, safety goggles, vest, whistle, walkie-talkie, and weather gear are provided; steel-toe boots must be supplied by you.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctual for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.
• Treat coworkers and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
• Receive safety gear; bring steel-toe boots that go above the ankle.
