Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our traffic management team. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades at job sites, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure compliance with safety rules. The role involves outdoor work in all weather and shifts that may include nights or weekends.

You will receive training and safety certification, with gear provided. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 40–50 pounds are required, along with a flexible, punctual schedule and strong

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outdoors.
• Must lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; arrive on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow training safety rules at all times.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
