Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Traffic Project Engineer II to join our transportation team.

You will support transportation engineering and TS M&O initiatives for FDOT and local agency clients throughout Florida, focusing on improving mobility, safety, and operational performance through data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with transportation engineers, planners, and public agencies while developing expertise in traffic operations, signal timing, transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 2–4 years of Traffic Engineering experience, preferably on FDOT projects.
• EIT certification required.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual and ADA regulations.
• Working knowledge of traffic modeling including Synchro/SimTraffic is required; CORSIM and HCS is a plus.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD would be a plus.
• Strong oral and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze traffic data and performance measures.
• Support signal timing, corridor operations, and congestion analyses.
• Assist with ITS/TSM&O projects, performance monitoring, and dashboards.
• Support Smart Work Zone planning and data analysis.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, FDOT, local agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluate safety, mobility, and system performance.
