Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a collaborative Traffic/ ITS Engineering Intern for the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Mobility group. You will support plans, specifications and estimates for intelligent transportation systems and traffic studies while collaborating with transportation planners and engineers.

You’ll apply your civil or electrical engineering studies, strengthen your writing and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience on large-scale infrastructure projects with a flexible hybrid work

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and able to travel for site visits.
• Knowledge and experience using CADD/MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of plans, specifications and estimates for ITS projects.
• Support traffic signal design, traffic studies and other traffic engineering tasks.
• Contribute to project documentation and coordination with stakeholders.
