Job summary

TKDA invites undergraduates pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering to join our Surface Transportation team in Bloomington, Minnesota for a summer internship. You will work with Professional Engineers and Technicians to observe traffic data, perform intersection evaluations, and assist with corridor studies.

Projects include developing construction plans for traffic signals and signing/striping. The role offers 40 hours per week with occasional overtime and hybrid/on-site work arrangements,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• AutoCAD or MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with observing and collecting traffic data.
• Conduct intersection evaluations and corridor studies.
• Perform analyses using simulation and modeling software.
• Help prepare preliminary designs and construction plans for traffic signals, staging, and signing/striping.
