Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Graduate Traffic Engineer in Bloomington, MN to gain hands-on experience solving real-world traffic engineering challenges. You will collect data, analyze intersections, and assist in corridor studies while collaborating with engineers, designers, and technicians on state, county, and local projects.

Qualified candidates should hold a civil engineering degree and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience or interest in traffic engineering preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze traffic data
• Perform intersection operations, safety, and multimodal evaluations
• Prepare intersection and corridor studies
• Conduct analyses using traffic simulation and modeling software
• Prepare preliminary and final traffic engineering designs
• Develop construction plans for signing, pavement markings, temporary traffic control, traffic signals, and roadway lighting
