Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Practice Leader to guide day‑to‑day leadership, financial management, marketing, coordination, team building and staff development within the Traffic Engineering/Operations practice.

You will lead proposals, pursue new work, manage projects and QA/QC, mentor staff, and collaborate with other disciplines to grow backlog and deliver high‑quality solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
• Progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience.
• Proven experience in project management roles within the technical practice.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to build and lead teams of technical practitioners and/or project managers.
• Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, project margins, and cash flow.
• Experience in business development, with a focus on maximizing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the Practice.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions.
• Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools use in the practice area.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the service line.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing and business development to build backlog for Traffic Engineering/Operations.
• Identify target clients and opportunities to expand market presence and backlog.
• Meet with clients to position KCI for future work and lead proposal development.
• Work with D/B lead to assess market opportunities and serve as PM or Pursuit Lead where appropriate.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation to staff and recruit/develop new staff.
• Serve as PM on design or design‑build projects and develop scope, schedule, and fees.
• Ensure QA/QC on projects and collaboration with other disciplines to complete work.
• Drive cross-selling and collaboration across practices to grow business.
