Job summary

DRMP, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Intern in Jacksonville, FL, to support the Transportation Department. The role focuses on leveraging coding and automation to streamline internal workflows, including developing Excel tools with VBA to analyze traffic counts, crash data, and other datasets.

Under supervision, you will assist with CAD production, basic electrical calculations, and design analysis tasks, delivering organized results and contributing to project cost estimates and reports.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain deliverables and notes.
• Strong written communication for reports, proposals, and estimates.
• Ability to work effectively individually or in groups.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD production and plan development.
• Perform basic electrical calculations such as voltage drop.
• Support lighting design analysis reports and power design analysis.
• Quantities takeoffs and verification.
• Assist with general design tasks across traffic and electrical projects.
