Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a Civil Engineering intern to support transportation and traffic projects. You will assist with daily design tasks, conduct data-driven traffic analyses, and prepare impact studies under supervision.

Qualified students should be pursuing ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degrees with coursework in traffic planning or design. Strong communication and CAD skills are preferred as you collaborate across disciplines and participate in the internship program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related program at an ABET-accredited university.
• Preferred coursework in Traffic Planning, Traffic Design, or Transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist technical staff with daily design tasks for transportation and traffic projects.
• Conduct traffic analysis including data collection, crash analysis, and intersection and roadway capacity analysis using software under supervision.
• Prepare traffic impact studies as assigned by management.
• Perform CAD work for conceptual design plans related to traffic planning and preliminary design.
• Estimate construction costs for detailed design plans.
• Collaborate with other interns to understand various disciplines within Colliers Engineering & Design.
• Participate in planning and technical report documentation.
• Engage in internship programming including opportunities to work with other interns, learn about different business areas, and develop communication and networking skills.
