Egis Group in the United States is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, MA. You will support a growing traffic department, perform signal timing studies, and design ITS, signals, and signing plans for transportation projects across public and private clients.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering with 2+ years in traffic engineering and experience with MassDOT/VTrans/RIDOT. PE is a plus, and strong communication skills are essential for success in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license is a plus.
• 2+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with MassDOT, VTrans or RIDOT preferred.
• Experience using CADD design software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support junior staff and help grow the traffic department.
• Conduct signal timing studies and evaluation of signal systems.
• Design ITS, traffic signal, and lighting systems.
• Design complex traffic control during construction plans.
• Develop signing and pavement marking plans.
• Analyze intersection and highway levels of service.
• Conduct field reviews to identify safety and operational issues.
• Coordinate work tasks to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Prepare Final Design plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Coordinate internal traffic work to support other offices.
• Participate in project scoping, fee estimating and proposals.
