Job summary

Egis is seeking a Traffic Engineer in Pennsylvania to mentor staff and lead transportation planning efforts. You will perform signal timing studies, design ITS and lighting systems, and coordinate complex traffic control plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
• PA DOT and PA Turnpike experience required.
• Experience using CADD design software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff and help grow the traffic department.
• Conduct signal timing studies and adaptive signal system evaluations.
• Design ITS, traffic signal, and lighting systems.
• Prepare construction plans including signing, pavement markings, and detours.
• Coordinate internal traffic work to support Lochner offices.
• Assist in business development through client meetings and promotional activities.
• Participate in project scoping, fee estimating and proposals.
• Support marketing of transportation planning projects.
