Job summary

Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) in Bartow, FL is seeking a driven Traffic Engineer to join our District One DOT office in an embedded role. You will develop traffic plans, concept plans, quantity estimates, and traffic studies while ensuring compliance with FDOT and MUTCD standards.

Candidates must be a Registered Professional Engineer with 0–10 years of post-registration experience and an ABET-accredited Civil or Environmental Engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• 0–10 years of progressively more complex post-registration Traffic and/or ITS design experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traffic engineering plans, concept plans, and quantity estimates as assigned by Traffic Services staff.
• Perform traffic studies and QA/QC reviews for completed studies.
• Provide recommended actions based on traffic studies and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Intake and respond to customer requests for traffic studies; conduct microsimulation modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering deliverables for road and highway projects.
