Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Traffic Engineer (PE) to work on high-profile transportation projects in Hawaii. You will contribute to traffic signal design, roadways, safety studies, and ITS/ATMS deployment, applying sound engineering judgment.

The role requires a BSCE, PE or eligibility within six months, and at least five years of traffic engineering experience. Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, SignCAD, AGI-32, and ProjectWise is preferred; location at Honolulu, full-time on-site.

Qualifications

• BSCE required with PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years traffic engineering project experience.
• Experience with DOT design standards and PS&E preparation.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signal systems, timing and ITS/ATMS elements.
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Perform complex highway capacity and operational analyses per DOT standards.
• Coordinate technical aspects of projects and supervise staff training.
• Collaborate with clients and agencies to communicate design solutions.
