Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation team in Baltimore or Fairfax. You will contribute to traffic analysis, signal design, and corridor improvement projects across Maryland and Virginia, working with senior engineers and project managers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 3+ years of traffic/transportation experience, and an EIT certification, with proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and knowledge of MUTCD/AASHTO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
• EIT certification is required; PE license is preferred.
• Proficiency with traffic engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, and MDOT/VDOT standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic analysis studies and corridor safety assessments.
• Prepare design plans, specs, and cost estimates for signals, signing, and striping.
• Develop maintenance of traffic plans and temporary traffic control.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with agency reviews.
• Assist in producing technical memoranda and reports.
