Job summary
Advanced Transportation Solutions (ATS/American) in Maryland is seeking a motivated civil engineer to join our traffic division. You will prepare traffic impact analyses, corridor/intersection improvement studies, and participate in operations analysis using simulation tools.
The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, is a licensed PE, and PTOE certified, with hands-on experience in HCM, VISSIM, and Synchro.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field; post-graduate degrees preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
- Experience with Highway Capacity Manual.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with VISSIM and Synchro.
- Strong writing skills for reports and memos.
- Great team player.
Responsibilities
- Prepare traffic impact analysis studies.
- Prepare corridor or intersection improvement feasibility studies.
- Participate in traffic operations analysis in simulation software and Highway Capacity Manual.
- Develop interchange justification reports.
- Design traffic control plans.
- Prepare signing and striping plans.
- Perform traffic safety studies.
