Job summary

KLJ is seeking a Transportation Engineering professional to assist in the analysis, design, and operation of streets and highways, including capacity analyses and traffic signal design and timing. You will generate precise documentation and support project development under supervision.

This entry‑level role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and related experience. Occasional travel may be required; a collaborative team environment and adherence to industry standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 0 to 5 years of post-education experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with roadway transportation laws and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist data collection, compilation, and analysis from field sites and sources.
• Participate in investigations of roadways, signals, markings, and corridors for conformance with standards.
• Provide technical assistance on design requirements and traffic operations strategies.
• Verify site characteristics and support traffic engineering studies and analyses.
• Conduct traffic counts and prepare concise documentation using digital tools.
• Complete assigned training and adhere to KLJ policies and procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as needed by business needs.
