Job summary

HDR is seeking a Traffic EIT to join our traffic engineering team in Nashville, TN. You will support traffic forecasting, analysis and design for transportation projects under the guidance of a Project Engineer/Manager.

This role emphasizes CAD design, simulation using industry tools, and safety analysis to improve roadway performance. Preferred candidates hold an EIT certification and a BSCE, with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required or to be obtained.
• Proficient in CAD platforms (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Guide Sign).
• Able to perform traffic design and safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a traffic team under the Project Engineer/Manager on traffic forecasting, analysis and design for transportation projects.
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using modeling tools and analyze intersections, roundabouts, arterials and freeway segments.
• Focus on traffic design including accident analysis, mitigation strategies, signing, striping and ITS systems.
• Perform other duties as needed
