Job summary

HDR is seeking a Traffic EIT/Coordinator in Austin, TX to support a range of traffic forecasting, analysis and design tasks for transportation projects. You will work within a team led by the Project Engineer/Manager to deliver practical solutions using industry-standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for various transportation projects
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using modeling tools, from highway capacity software to micro-simulation models; analyze intersections, roundabouts, arterials and freeway segments
• Focus on traffic design including accident analysis, signing, striping, signals, lighting, and ITS (real-time traffic, adaptive signal control, CCTV, VMS)
• Conduct traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, AutoCAD and Guide Sign software
• Conduct operational analysis using tools such as HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and Aimsun
• Conduct safety analysis using Highway Safety Software
• Perform other duties as needed
