Job summary

HDR’s Transportation Business Group seeks an ITS/Traffic Designer / EIT to design, implement, and operate intelligent transportation systems across highways, arterials, transit, and emerging mobility technologies.

You will develop PS&E design packages, perform system engineering analyses, update technical documents, and collaborate on ACES and electrified mobility projects while contributing to a growing, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.
• EIT certificate preferred; local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to ITS/Traffic design, implementation, and operation.
• Develop PS&E design packages for freeway, arterial, and transit ITS systems.
• Perform system engineering analyses and develop ITS architectures.
• Develop, update, and review design documents and specifications.
• Participate in ACES vehicle, electrified mobility, and emerging tech projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
