Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking an entry-level Traffic Administration professional for our Indianapolis distribution center at 5851 Guion Rd. The role supports the Transportation department by monitoring daily operations, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring timely load movements.

Shift is full-time, Mon-Fri with 8:00am–4:30pm hours, with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding. Ideal candidates are 18+ with a valid driver's license, proficient with Microsoft Office, strong organization, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must hold a current full valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department.
• Communicating internally and externally by phone and email.
• Maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry.
• Managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Complying with safety regulations.
• Assisting with scheduling drivers and securing loads.
• Assisting in maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry.
• Assisting in managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Operate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes, Non-CDL and/or CDL, as needed.
