Job summary

Wright is seeking an entry-level Traffic Controller in the United States (West Virginia, Charles Town) to join construction teams and maintain safe work zones. Candidates must complete basic traffic safety training provided by the company and are expected to perform flagging duties, set up cones and barriers, and manage temporary work zones while ensuring worker safety.

Starting pay is $15 per hour, with opportunities for promotion, overtime, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug free status.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and perform flagging duties.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy
• Ensure company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location as established and sent by office scheduler
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor
• Other job duties as assigned
