Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones across a broad service area. You will supervise crews and ensure safe, compliant operation of MOT and TMA equipment.

Responsibilities include deploying signs and cones, loading and transporting gear, and monitoring work zones through shifts while adhering to safety rules and DOT requirements. Travel statewide, including nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in traffic control with 4,000 field hours.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training completed.
• Must pass background and motor vehicle record checks; must pass a drug test per DOT requirements.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel statewide, including overnights and nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and zones.
• Set up traffic cones, signs, and other devices.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards as needed.
• Monitor and maintain work zones during shifts.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift changes.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, posts, and signs.
• Perform basic shop maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; adhere to DOT regulations.
