Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor II to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. The role involves supervising teams, operating trucks, and using MOT and TMA equipment to protect workers and the public.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of traffic control experience, ATSSA TCS intermediate training, and the ability to read plans and follow DOT regulations. Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of traffic control experience with 4,000 field hours.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training completed.
• Able to pass background check (including motor vehicle records).
• Able to pass drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift to ensure items remain in place.
• Load traffic control items at start and end of shifts.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
