Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our traffic management team in Florida. You will set up traffic control devices, guide vehicles with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure safety rules are followed on-site.

No prior experience or degree is required; comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided. Expect outdoor work in all weather, with some night/weekend shifts and potential career progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; punctual for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening; safety-sensitive role.
• Remain alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades; dismantle traffic control equipment.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all training safety rules and communicate with crew.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and in good condition.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather; shifts may include nights/weekends.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
