Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our traffic management team in Milton, FL. No experience or degree is required; we provide training and ongoing support to build a career in safety.

Typically you will work outdoors in varying weather, set up traffic control devices, and follow safety rules while coordinating with your crew and supervisor. Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Must stand/walk and work outside in all weather.
• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
• Wear provided safety gear; bring steel-toe boots.
