Job summary

AWP Safety seeks a Protector to join a team at traffic control job sites in Florida. No experience or degree required; training provided and safety comes first. You will set up cones, signs, barricades, use stop/slow paddles, and coordinate with your crew to guide traffic.

You'll work outdoors year-round, possibly nights or weekends, and may stand 8–12 hours per shift. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 40–50 pounds are required. All safety rules learned in training apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round, in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
