Job summary

Acme Barricades is hiring for a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on a roadway construction project. The role involves upholding MOT guidelines and ensuring public safety while following company policies and applicable regulations.

The position offers weekly pay, overtime, a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, and opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry.
• High School Diploma/GED and be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
• Advanced MOT Certification/TSSA Flagger Certified Preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work-zone signs, and lights.
• Set up and maintain assigned MOT activity including detours and lane closures.
• Coordinate services with the on-site client representative or officials.
• Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks.
• Deliver / Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites.
• Coordinate activities of traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines.
• Make recommendations on existing conditions to coordinate procedures for traffic maintenance activities.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor.
• If approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
