Job summary

US Traffic Control, LLC in Georgia is seeking a Flagging professional to safely direct vehicles around construction sites and protect workers and motorists.

You will set up and maintain work zones, communicate with other flaggers, and follow safety manuals. The role requires flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts, weekend work if needed, and a willingness to travel. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required; a valid driver’s license and ability to pass screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must pass a Fit-For-Duty physical exam.
• Have a valid driver’s license and provide a driving record.
• Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Be willing to travel with paid housing & per diem on special cases.
• Be willing to work 8 or 10 hour shifts, weekends if necessary.
• Have reliable communication to receive work schedule.
• Provide your own steel-toe or composite work shoes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, stop/slow paddles, and rumble strips.
• Guide traffic and pedestrians safely through and around the work area.
• Read and comprehend safety manuals to comply with policies.
• Communicate to ensure automobiles and pedestrians do not interfere with laborers and projects.
• Communicate with other flaggers using radios to direct traffic.
• Make decisions on whether to allow cars onto a single lane based on traffic flow.
• Inform the construction crew of traffic issues that may affect safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
