Job summary

US Traffic Control, LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Flagger to safely direct traffic around construction sites and help workers and motorists stay safe. Responsibilities include setting up and removing temporary work zones, guiding traffic and pedestrians, reading safety manuals, using radios to coordinate with other flaggers, and reporting issues promptly.

Must have a valid driver's license, be willing to travel, and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• ATSSA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs and traffic control devices.
• Guide traffic and pedestrians safely through and around the work area.
• Read and comply with US Traffic Control’s safety manual and employee handbook.
• Communicate with other flaggers using radios to coordinate two-way traffic.
• Make decisions on lane usage based on observed traffic flow.
• Inform the construction crew of traffic issues that may affect safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
