Job summary

American Safety Traffic Control is hiring Crew Members to join our field teams in North Carolina. This outdoor, team-based role involves setting up and maintaining safe traffic work zones for contractors and the traveling public. The position is part-time or seasonal with a goal of full-time hours whenever possible.

Flexibility, reliable transportation, and a positive work history are valued. Responsibilities include directing traffic, wearing PPE, and following DOT and company standards.

Qualifications

• Positive work history.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of ATSSA NC DOT Flagger course.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and take down traffic control zones following company and DOT standards.
• Direct traffic using flags, signs, radios, and hand signals.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE at all times.
• Communicate clearly with the Crew Lead and team members.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and follow job site procedures.
• Help maintain truck inventory and job site documentation.
