Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking a reliable Flagger for our Florida operations. You will direct and control traffic in work zones, assist crew with equipment movement, and communicate with the public in a professional manner to maintain safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), a flagger certificate (preferred but not required), and the ability to work days, nights or weekends. Valid Florida driver’s license and adherence to drug and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flagger certificate preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic safely in work zones.
• Direct site equipment near traffic, hazards and obstructions.
• Communicate with the public professionally.
• Protect workers by keeping workspace clear of traffic.
• Maintain safe movement of traffic via two-way radio.
• Follow safety practices and procedures.
• Occasionally assist crew as needed.
• Stand/walk for prolonged periods outdoors in varying weather.
