Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) seeks a reliable Flagger for our local operations. The role is focused on directing and controlling traffic safely in work zones and guiding site equipment near moving traffic.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Flagger certificate preferred but not required. Availability to work days, nights, or weekends and a valid Florida driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flagger certificate preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Must have valid Florida driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic safely in and through work zones.
• Direct site equipment when working near traffic, hazards and obstructions.
• Communicate with the public in a professional manner.
• Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and hazards.
• Communicate via two-way radio with co-workers to ensure safe traffic movement.
• Follow safe practices and procedures.
• Occasionally assist crew as needed.
• Stand or walk for prolonged periods outdoors in various weather.

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Flagger position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to direct and control traffic safely in and through work zone
• Direct site equipment when working in close proximity to traffic, hazards and obstructions
• Communicate with the public in a professional manner
• Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
• Being observant of surroundings at all times and communicating via two-way radio with co-workers to ensure the safe movement of traffic
• Follow safe practices and procedures
• Occasionally assist crew as needed
• Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and be able to work outside in inclement weather

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Flagger certificate preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license
