Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Flagger for our local operations to direct traffic safely through work zones and protect workers.

You will communicate with the public and crew, observe surroundings, and ensure the safe movement of traffic while following company safety procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a flagger certificate is preferred but not required; 1 year of experience is preferred; Florida driver’s license is required for some postings.

• Direct site equipment when working in close proximity to traffic, hazards and obstructions
• Communicate with the public in a professional manner
• Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
• Being observant of surroundings at all times and communicating via two-way radio with co-workers to ensure the safe movement of traffic
• Followsafe practices and procedures
• Occasionally assist crew as needed
• Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and be able to work outside in inclement weather

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Flagger position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to direct and control traffic safely in and through work zone
• Direct site equipment when working in close proximity to traffic, hazards and obstructions
• Communicate with the public in a professional manner
• Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
• Being observant of surroundings at all times and communicating via two-way radio with co-workers to ensure the safe movement of traffic
• Followsafe practices and procedures
• Occasionally assist crew as needed

Requirements:

• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check
