Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our traffic management team. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and maintain site safety while working with your crew outdoors.

No prior experience or degree is required; we provide training, PPE, and opportunities to advance within the company. Expect flexible shifts, year-round work in all weather, and paid training culminating in a traffic safety certificate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; arrive on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take down traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules learned in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.

Your daily work includes:

Setting up cones, signs, and barricadesand taking traffic control equipment down

Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity

Following all safety rules taught in training

Communicating with your crew and supervisor

Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe

Working outside all year, in all weather

Shifts may change based on job needs:Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may berequired

You may stand or walk8 to 12 hours per shift

We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safetyboots that go above the ankle.

Qualifications

Pay:

• $17.81-$19.64 per hour
• Pay increasesin your first year
