Job summary

A&A Safety, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control and Safety Technician to support a variety of roadway and highway operations. This hands-on position assists with traffic control, pavement marking, and general roadway work while helping maintain safe and compliant work zones.

  • Prepare, load, and unload trucks, materials, and equipment.

  • Perform flagging duties and direct traffic when needed.
  • Work with various crews based on project needs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

A&A Safety, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control and Safety Technician to support a variety of roadway and highway operations. This hands‑on position assists with traffic control, pavement marking, and general roadway work while helping maintain safe and compliant work zones. This position may work across multiple crews and plays a key role in protecting the traveling public and project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with traffic control operations, including placing, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, signs, and barricades.
  • Support pavement marking and line striping crews, including handwork and roadway preparation.
  • Perform general labor duties on roadway and highway projects as assigned.
  • Prepare, load, and unload trucks, materials, and equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles to, from, and to active job sites.
  • Perform flagging duties and assist with directing traffic as needed.
  • Place and remove pavement markers and assist with roadway striping operations.
  • Work as part of various crews, including traffic control, line striping, and general labor, based on project needs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on project needs.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required)
  • Membership in Laborer’s union (may join after being hired)
  • ATSSA certification(s) a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule & Availability Requirements

This role requires schedule flexibility, including days, nights, weekends, overtime, and periodic travel to support project demands.
