Job summary

The Department of Transportation is seeking a Clerical Associate in the Automated Enforcement Unit to review, accept, or reject traffic violations captured by various cameras. You will assess red-light and speed camera footage, verify vehicle details, and ensure accuracy of Notices of Liability.

Responsibilities include QA of NOLs, following SOPs, and upholding policies while supporting City enforcement objectives and residency requirements.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of New York City Traffic Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, accept, or reject traffic violation notices issued by automated camera enforcement.
• Review camera footage to determine if a violation occurred and ensure vehicle details are accurate.
• Ensure Notices of Liability meet quality standards and follow unit procedures.
