Job summary

Whitman Family Development LLC, Bal Harbour Shops, seeks a courteous Traffic Attendant to assist guests with parking and access to the center. You will handle payments, troubleshoot equipment, keep kiosks stocked, and provide directions or hours information to shoppers and tenants.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English, comfortable working outdoors in varied weather, and able to perform simple math. Prior parking garage experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect parking payments when necessary.
• Troubleshoot parking equipment.
• Ensure parking kiosks have paper.
• Assist customers and mall employees with parking questions.
• Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding the center (store locations, hours, directions).
• Assist security with traffic.
• Maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Represent the shops in uniform (black shoes, hat) as required by Parking Department.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Parking Operations Supervisor, the Traffic Attendant’s primary function is to provide customers and guests visiting Bal Harbour Shops with excellent service and to assist them with any questions or concerns they may have, particularly as it relates to parking and accessing the shops.

Responsibilities

• Collect parking payment when necessary.
• Troubleshoot parking equipment.
• Ensure parking kiosks have paper.
• Assist customers and mall employees with any issues they have related to parking.
• Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding the center, to include store locations, operating hours or driving directions.
• Assist security with traffic.
• Always maintain work area clean.
• Provide professional representation of the shops by wearing the required uniform including black sneakers/shoes and hat, must be always worn while on shift; any other clothing or accessories must be approved by Parking Department Management team.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Prior parking garage experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have basic knowledge of parking technology.
• Must be able to do simple math.
• Must be fluent in English.

Licenses and Certifications

• Drivers License, preferred.

Physical Requirements

Position requires the incumbent to stand, walk, bend, twist, & stretch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Along with having the ability to push and pull up to approximately 20lbs of drag weight without assistance. Due to this position being outside in the parking garage, the employee will be exposed to all weather conditions.
