Job summary

Garver is seeking a Traffic Analysis Engineer in the Oklahoma City, OK office to contribute to a growing traffic and transportation planning team. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience and a strong technical background, with responsibilities including traffic studies, simulations, and developing access plans for DOT and municipal clients.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
  • 4-8 years of traffic-specific experience.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual.
  • Experience with traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, Synchro, HCS).
  • Experience analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Performing traffic and safety studies.
  • Performing traffic simulation and level of service analysis.
  • Developing access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignments.
  • Developing traffic signal timing plans.
  • Preparing summary documentation and reports.
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients.
  • Assisting with project management and tracking budgets.
  • Mentoring less experienced staff.
