Job summary

MassMutual is seeking a Mainframe Engineer – TradV Modernization to support modernization of TradV platforms and ongoing production support for mainframe systems. You’ll collaborate with global teams to translate product specs into scalable mainframe changes, contribute to a high-impact modernization roadmap, and participate in cross-functional delivery across SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
• 8+ years experience as a Senior developer or Technical lead
• 5+ years experience with COBOL, Micro Focus COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2
• 5+ years experience with CA7 and Zena Scheduler; Xpeditor and Endevor
• Hybrid Mainframe-Cloud architectures
• Strong experience in mainframe modernization and performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Support TradV modernization, product builds and administration platform enhancements across Life, DI and Annuity products
• Lead and execute development using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and Micro Focus COBOL
• Support modernization efforts across hybrid platforms including Mainframe-to-Cloud transitions
• Analyze performance differences between legacy and cloud implementations and drive optimization efforts
