Job summary

DRW is a diversified trading firm with a strong technology focus and global presence. The Tools Engineering team collaborates closely with traders to turn alpha signals and risk management into scalable production systems.

You will be embedded on a trading desk, navigate ambiguity, and deliver domain-specific solutions while building reusable patterns for all desks. You will own products from prototype to stable production, work across Python, Java, C++, and Typescript, and provide on‑call

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, C++, and proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Experience working directly with end customers on production systems in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strong problem solving, risk awareness, and ability to simplify complex issues
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and engineers to foster collaboration
• Experience in financial markets, especially delta one and/or FICC options trading
• Linux-based, concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems; functional programming a plus

Responsibilities

• Work with best-in-class trading tools for Cumberland and FICC desks
• Own products from prototype to stable production
• Embed with trading desks to understand problems and build domain models
• Build, maintain and extend the central trading platform
• Work across languages including Python, Java, C++, Typescript; provide on-call support
