The Tools Engineering team collaborates with traders to turn alpha signals and risk management into scalable production systems, embedding with desks and shipping high-impact solutions.

The role involves forward deployments on trading desks and later reusing patterns for all desks, building systems across languages and maintaining a central trading platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Python/Java/C++ in production.
• Experience with end customers and production systems.
• Financial markets experience, delta one or FICC options.

Responsibilities

• Work with best-in-class trading tools for Cumberland and FICC desks.
• Take full ownership of the products you create, from prototype to stable production.
• Embed with trading desks, understand problem spaces, build ergonomic, performant solutions.
• Build, maintain and extend the central trading platform.
• Work with both greenfield and legacy systems across Python, Java, C++, TypeScript.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
