Job summary

Group One Trading is seeking a Project Manager in New York/Chicago to drive planning and execution of technology initiatives across our proprietary trading platform and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, traders, and business stakeholders to turn complex objectives into clear plans and milestones, while prioritizing work and managing risks across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PM experience in software development or trading tech.
• Proven ability to drive complex projects from definition to delivery.
• Translate business and technical objectives into clear requirements, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives and details.
• Experience managing software development backlogs and planning.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and roadblocks early and drive resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to establish accountability without direct reporting authority.
• Experience with Jira or comparable project/issue-tracking systems.
• Experience in electronic trading or real-time production tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive planning and prioritization across technology initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, traders, and business stakeholders to turn objectives into plans and milestones.
• Own requirements, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across projects.
• Facilitate planning and ensure on-track delivery for multiple initiatives.
• Support learning and certification related to Series 57.
• Drive execution and contribute to technology roadmap planning.
