Job summary

Mondrian Alpha in New York City is expanding its Trading Services team, seeking a candidate with deep expertise in the electronic trading lifecycle to own and scale greenfield initiatives across the trade lifecycle. The role sits at the intersection of technology, operations and the front office.

Qualifications

• Degree in a numerate, technical or engineering field.
• Approximately five years hands-on in live electronic markets.
• Fluency in how orders move through equities and options; ETFs a plus.
• Experience with order/execution management systems and their messaging.
• Experience running and monitoring live trading systems under pressure.
• Some scripting ability (Python) and openness to AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner across Trading, Technology and COO, building cross-business relationships.
• Own rollout of new markets, products, brokers and trading capabilities to go live.
• Serve as first line of response for production issues, order rejects and front-office incidents.
• Strengthen resilience, scalability and operational readiness of the global trading platform.
• Monitor the live electronic trading environment from open to close.
• Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, controls and tooling.
• Track trade flows, limit utilization and trading controls in real time, manage rejects.
